Mens Pelvic Health

Specifically designed for men dealing with bladder and/or bowel issues

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new Men’s Pelvic Health service at Sports Physio & Active Rehab (SP&AR), aimed at providing physiotherapy management for a range of male pelvic health conditions. This service is specifically designed for men dealing with bladder and/or bowel issues, particularly those arising from prostate surgery, pelvic girdle pain, sexual dysfunctions, and Peyronie’s syndrome.

At SP&AR, we take a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to treatment, which includes manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, education, and advice. Our physiotherapy consultations are tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring that treatment

plans fit seamlessly into their lifestyle while focusing on optimising pelvic health and restoring confidence.

We understand that many of the conditions affecting men’s pelvic health can be sensitive in nature. As such, we are committed to providing care with the utmost respect, discretion, and empathy. Our goal is to support men in overcoming these challenges and achieving the best possible outcomes for their health and wellbeing.

Sue Cautley, our Principal Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and owner of SP&AR, brings almost forty years of experience, much of which has been spent working within the male health domain at both elite and community-based sporting clubs. She has recognised the significant gap in support for men’s pelvic health, particularly within the Macedon Ranges and rural communities, and has pursued further study in this area.
