About us

At SP&AR, we deliver physiotherapy you can trust. Supporting everything from sports injuries and spinal issues to women’s health and concussion. With elite-level experience and a local focus, our team is here to help you move better, feel stronger, and recover with confidence.

YOUR RECOVERY TEAM SINCE 2012.
Founded in 2012, Sports Physio & Active Rehab (SP&AR) is a leading physiotherapy practice in Gisborne, set in the beautiful Macedon Ranges. We provide expert care for sports injuries, spinal conditions, concussion management, rehabilitation, vestibular issues, women’s health, post-natal care, and chronic pain.
Our physiotherapists bring extensive elite-level experience, having worked with AFL and AFLW clubs, Olympic athletes, and professional netball and basketball teams. These connections, along with strong relationships with surgeons, sports physicians, and local health providers, ensure every patient receives the best possible treatment pathway.
Alongside physiotherapy, we offer myotherapy, clinical Pilates in our fully equipped studio, small group strength, conditioning and balance programs, and aquatic rehabilitation classes. Our women’s health team delivers sensitive, evidence-based care, including pelvic floor programs and support for new mothers.
Proud supporters of our local sporting community, we sponsor the Gisborne and Macedon Football Netball Clubs, the Macedon Ranges Basketball Association, and the Gisborne Golf Club.
At SP&AR, our mission is simple: to help you move better, recover faster, and live stronger.
