
An APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist, Amanda combines clinical excellence with a passion for education, specialising in concussion management, water therapy, and athletic rehab.......

Amanda graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2004, commencing work in the private sector in 2005. She joined the team here at SP&AR in early 2015, where she predominately sees sports and musculoskeletal clients. Amanda also offers assessment and rehabilitation for management of concussion, and basic vestibular/dizziness conditions, and is qualified in dry needling and Pilates. She also conducts warm water therapy rehabilitation classes at the local pool. Amanda divides her time between the clinic here in Gisborne, and in Essendon at Windy Hill Sports & Spinal Physiotherapy.
Amanda has many years of experience working with a variety of sporting teams at local, national and international level. Her sports coverage has included Aussie Rules Football, basketball, ultimate frisbee, netball, and rugby 7s. Amanda has also been involved with the Western Bulldogs AFLW team, working as the rehabilitation physiotherapist. Currently, Amanda works with the NRL referees during their Melbourne based games, and is the team physiotherapist for the Victorian Country U16 Women's Basketball State team.
Amanda has a keen interest for continuing education, completing her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2015, gaining her title as an APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist. Amanda also shares her joy for learning and education by lecturing new graduate physiotherapists undertaking ongoing training in the sports physiotherapy field.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys applying her skills and knowledge to all levels and types of sports, and is passionate about encouraging sporting involvement across one’s lifespan.
